SHOWMANSHIP AWARDS COMMITTEE
PURPOSE: To encourage young people with Black and Tan Coonhounds who are showing in junior showmanship. The committee is to administer the Westminster Juniors Award and the Junior Showmanship Awards.
WESTMINSTER JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP AWARD (ABTCC MEMBERS ONLY)
To recognize the work and dedication needed to qualify and participate in the Westminster Dog Show in Junior Showmanship. The ABTCC will award each ABTCC Junior Member who shows a Black and Tan in junior showmanship at the Westminster Dog Show a check for $100. The junior must notify the committee after the show. The committee, in order for the award to be granted, must verify the participation with a Black and Tan Coonhound. The junior must be an ABTCC member at the time of Westminster in order to be eligible for this award.
JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP AWARDS (ABTCC MEMBERS ONLY)
The ABTCC will issue a certificate to each junior earning junior showmanship points with a Black and Tan Coonhound at the awards ceremony in April at the annual meeting. The club statistician will tabulate points. The award time is Jan 1 through Dec 31 of the previous year. Each junior will receive a certificate and also will be eligible to receive the items that have been collected by the committee for the award placement they receive. During the year the committee is to solicit donations from members and other entities for items to be awarded to each child in addition to the certificates. Arrangements have been made with the ABTCC Webmaster for a page to be in the juniors' section of the web site to acknowledge the donors' items and award placement for their donation. The donors' name, e-mail address or web site address will be on this page as a hyperlink until the awards are presented in April.
